Have Fun with Easy Digital Scrapbooking

Digital PhotographsDo you have a bunch of photos gathering dust somewhere in your house? What happens at a family gathering if someone finds that box and starts browsing those photos?

Fun happens, that’s what! Everyone loves to share photos because they represent our fingerprints on time itself; they keep a priceless record of who we are, where we came from, and who we did it all with, throughout our lives.

When I was a kid, my grandma had a nice living room with fancy furniture. She had this really nice round end table with doors and that’s where she stored her photo albums.

Once in a while we would sneak in there and take those albums out, and that would start fun conversations about the people, places and events in the photos the albums contained. The grand-kids would see their parents when they were kids, and Grandma could point to her youngest sister we had never met. We could also see the infamous Christmas tree from that one year everyone decided to bring all their presents to grandma’s house (that tree featured a LOT of presents!).

Back then, plain albums were the common way to display photos. Now we have different and better options, and since the arrival of digital photography, we have access to many more photos. Most of them are never printed on paper, so placing them in traditional albums no longer represents the convenience it did in the past.

If you are reading this post, you likely have access to a computer - and with the new technology of digital photography, digital scrapbooking has arrived to stay. So you can now use any or all of your digital photos to create fun albums in totally different ways. This represents a truly unique  opportunity, and you don’t have to be a genius to take advantage of the fun, practical and creative applications of digital scrapbooking.

In this series at 100 Golden Keys University, we can use the clicks of anyone’s digital camera (it does not have to be yours!) with the clicks of the computer mouse (it does not have to be yours either!), and together we’ll enter the fantastic world of digital scrapbooking.

I’d like to invite you to join in this journey, so subscribe to 100GKU and I’ll start sharing tips and practical tools you can use to play and create.
